Assembly in transmission or differential

FF16 series are installed in vehicles where the distance between transmission and differential is so short that installation of retarder between two drive-shafts is not possible. In most of cases such vehicles are rear engines buses and some tractor units.

Torque of these retarders covers the range between 900 and 3300 Nm.

Stator is fixed to transmission or differential housing. Rotors are connected to the driveshaft and outlet flange of transmission or input flange of differential.
